Optimal Movement Kinesiology and Pilates combines the knowledge from Kinesiology and the power of the Pilates Principals with Fascial Stretch Therapy so you can achieve your optimal movement and health enjoyment.  Private, small group, corporate wellness, mobile and virtual sessions available. 

The owner and manager of the company, Tara Wilson, aims to provide best practice movement therapy and training, either to her clients directly, or through the professionals she manages on her team.  Optimal movement Kinesiology and Pilates takes into consideration each clients unique and wholistic needs.  When necessary, she and her team of Kinesiologist and movement specialists will also refer to and communicate with other healthcare practitioners.

About Tara (owner and head Kinesiologist and instructor): 

  Tara is passionate about helping people feel and move their best.  She aims to educate, realign, and re-pattern, helping you to move more optimally and functionally, achieve your personal fitness and health goals.  Tara holds a bachelors degree from UBC in Human Kinetics, she is a Certified Exercise Physiologist  (CEP) through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP), a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), is certified in Pilates Mat (Canadian Pilates Institute), and Pilates Equipment (Reformer 1, 2, and 3, Chair, Tower, Barrels ) through Balanced Body. She is also a certified Fascia Stretch Therapist (FST level 1 – Stretch to Win) and has certifications in Functional Movement Screening (FMS 1 Certification),  Soft Tissue Release and has additional training in pre and postnatal exercise.
